Installation
Firstly, set your FTP client up by entering your FTP information and upload Xenon Cart to your root if Xenon Cart will be your main site platform. You will also need to setup a MySQL database and write the settings down. When you have successfully uploaded all of your files to your server, please visit your domain address to start installation.

Enter your details when prompted and complete the installation process. When you are informed that the installation has been a success please delete the install directory (/install) and proceed to your administrative interface.

Setting up your site
Inside your administrative interface you will need to configure all of your business details and site preferences in the Primary Settings page and the Secondary Settings page.
Your delivery methods will need to be defined and your payment methods will need configuring also.

Products
Before you add a product you may want to set the categories which the products will go under. To do this select 'categories' from the left menu. To add a product, select 'add product' from the left menu and enter any information surrounding your product. You can add images if needed and associate any options or custom fields from this page.

Options are needed when for example, a product is available in multiple colours and / or prices. To create a way of adding a file or to make your product page more usefull please consider adding a Custom Field.

Optimisation
Categories can be optimised by defining their keywords and description. The name of a category should reflect the products that it holds. Your products can also be optimised by using relevant keywords within their titles, summary and description.

Tips
Cross Selling is important as you can display other products on a product page. This helps to inform your visitor of alternative or related products and increases the chance of making more revenue.

Viral advertising is another great way of promoting your company for free by using 'tell a friend' (built into your Xenon Cart) to get your visitors talking about your site.
